Neither
I really advise a Kirby if you can manage it (best do buy these used as they are Tremendous expensive brand new)
other smart in between the two that you have listed, I HAVE owned a Hoover and although it didn’t perform as nicely as my Kirby, it did do fairly effectively. I have heard some poor factors about Eurecka…
good luck :)

  1. I like the Upright Self Propelled Hoover with the Dirt Finder. It is easier to vacuum with, and has a red light that lights up on it when it finds dirt and goes out when the spot/area is clean. On board attachments, hardwood/carpet, and long cord.

  2. i always go on the internet and read the unbiased reviews. compare like models you can’tcompare brand names because all make good and cheap units.

  3. A Hoover.I bought a Hoover in 2003 and it finally quit on me December of 2009. I have never owned a vacuum that long that still worked good. The motor burnt up in mine.In my opinion they are affordable and reliable.Good luck on your choice.

  4. Hi, A friend who has pets and kids bought a Eureka boss smart vac ultra 4870 and she loves it. She said it was recommended by consumer reports magazine and rated right up there with higher priced vacuums. It outperformed the Dyson animal. It was priced around 150.00 and really cleans carpets and bare floors with the flick of a switch. Has hepa filtration for allergies, 8 carpet settings, convenient tools and ability to control suction when using tools. Eureka also rated in the top two for the fewest repairs. http://www.byvacuumcleaners.com/Eureka-boss-smart-vac-ultra.html Hope this helps.

  5. Hoover is Better. But Eurekas are cheap (You can just buy another one if your vacuum breaks)

    I’ve had a lot of luck with my $ 200 Roomba 530.

You might want to just consider getting a refurbished Dyson though. It’s probably worth it. Plus they last longer.
