Solution by brainiac
there should be screws or clips someplace.
I have repaired many and by no means come across one however that I could not get apart.
but have not tried using a Nano Lite but.
very good luck
I am positive you will get it.
and excellent for you for getting a particular person who can “do things”
the huge bulk have misplaced this ability
I looked up the manual
http://www.hoover.com/pdfs/manuals/U2440900.pdf
on page ten it displays how to change the belt
that will get you to the motor and the change where you can connect a new power cord
there are 6 screws
2 at the front of the bottom plate
two at the rear of the hood
2 underneath the hood on the agitator cover
when it is apart you need to thoroughly clean the beater bar and verify the belt.
