    You take it off and clean it. Make sure the belt is good or replace it. I have oiled the ball bearings.

    Most of the newer vacuums shouldn’t need lubrication. They should have ball bearings in the ends. Besides we have no idea of what vacuum you’re dealing with, there are about 500 different models. You’ll need to be a little more specific if you want better information,.
