Question by ericalaurie: How do I attach the converter hose to my Hoover idea one vacuum?
I figure the prolonged rectangle shape attatches to the component that sucks the air but how to get it to remain there is beyond me!

On every older Hoover upright vac that I’ve seen with attachments the agitator cover has either a couple of fingers which must fit under the front lip of the cover or some metal spring clips that snap into place, holding the cover tight against the bottom. I’m sort of glad to hear there are still some of this model around and running. I haven’t seen one in my shop in years and years.
