Query by Likelihood: Hoover vacuum wont pick up?
I have a hoover rewind vacuum… It wont select up, but the black hose will, does everyone have any ideas about what may well be wrong?? Thanks!

Is the beater spinning? Could be a broken belt. If the carpet beater is not spinning beneath normal use, disassemble the bottom and exchange the belt. They are obtainable at locations like Target, Walmart, Kmart, and so on.

Could the belt have snapped? If the beater bar underneath is not turning the belt may have snapped. Turn it on its side ( keeping fingers well away!) and switch it on, watch to see whether the beater bar turns. If its not working replace the belt. failing that, it’s possibly a blockage somewhere in the guts of the machine. Is it an upright cleaner? They are quite easy to take apart to check for blockages, usually a phillips/star screwdriver will be all thats needed.
